Mortgage Loan Originator - Thousand Oaks (Full-time, exempt)

Seeking an outside sales professional interested in a career with a local financial industry leader. Responsible for self-sourcing high quality loans which meet our lender guidelines, while providing excellent client service. Strong sales and organizational skills are essential. Position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations. Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements. Develop relationships with real estate professionals, builders, and other business referral sources. Develop knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements. Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions. Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching client needs with an appropriate loan program and level of risk. Preferred skills: documented residential mortgage fundings in the past 12 months coming from established relationships with local referral partners (i.e. realtors, builders, attorneys, financial professionals, etc.), 2+ years of mortgage origination experience in the local market and 3+ years sales experience. Excellent customer service skills a must. Bachelor s degree or related experience. Availability to assist clients on evenings and weekends.
