Making Home Affordable with Fannie Mae and FreedieMac DU Refi Plus Program

Updated 8/20/09

Thousand Oaks Mortgage is pleased to support the “Making Home Affordable Initiative” announced in March, which includes the DU Refi Plus program. Working closely with Fannie Mae, FreddieMac and our Lenders we are finalizing credit guidelines and system enhancements to make the DU Refi plus program available to our Clients.

The goal of this new refinance option is to provide expanded opportunities for borrowers who have demonstrated an acceptable payment history on their Fannie Mae owned or guaranteed mortgage but have not been able to refinance due to declining property value or an inability to obtain mortgage insurance.

We have developed a streamlined process to review our client’s situation and determine if they will qualify for this program.  We are offering this as a free community service and based on the information provided, advise our clients on the best available financial options.

Not everyone will qualify for this program, however there are options available and they will be discussed in strict confidentiality. Thousand Oaks Mortgage is offering free assistance to those clients where the only option is a Loan Modification or to sell their home. If the option to sell the home results in a "Short Sale" with their current lender or loan servicer, we will advise them on the process. Many of our Realtor partners are well versed and can facilitate working with the lenders or loan servicers to a successful conclusion. It is our goal to help clients keep their home or have the best possible financial options to consider.

If you qualify for one of the program options, time is of the essence and action is required in some cases immediately. Selling of the home, Refinances and Loan Modifications could take as long as 120 days to complete.

If you would like further information on this and other programs, please email us at randysenzig@earthlink.net and we will be happy to add you to our email list.
